Every year it seems that the Solstice dip draws people from far and wide. There's something about getting up SO early and gathering peacefully by the shore to welcome in the longest day of the year (actually, the sun stands still for 3 days, so there are really 3 in total). I think everyone there would agree, that it creates a momentary, deep, profound and peaceful presence in us all.
