Once again, it's amazing to see so many people turn up for the monthly gathering. This month, we were even lucky enough to be joined by a wonderful family who brought along their Down syndrome daughter along for a dip. She was nervous to begin with, but with a little help from others and her parents, enjoyed the experience of going in with everyone - what an incredible thing to happen. Thank you to all who helped there and also helped anyone else in need that day as the shingle bank was quite steep.
That aside, it was a glorious occasion in terms of sunshine and balmy sea temperatures and an abundance of home make cakes and biscuits! Many stayed on for a day on the beach, as it was RNLI Lifeboat Week with a party atmosphere over on the East Side! Here's a little flavour of what we got up to in the heatwave of August 2022.
