Wow, what a day

Well, well, well. As one of the Sue's said "Selsey has never seen anything like it!". Our sleepy hollow turned into a sea of bathing beauties on Saturday as our guests from Surrey Outdoor Swimmers arrived in little groups to be greeted by sparkling blue waters and endless sunshine. Some had come for a few hours, others for a few days and we are so grateful to each one of them for taking the time to come and see our patch and what we get up to. Everyone was so charming (as were the outfits) and as we bobbed about in the water, we laughed and soaked up the incredible Vitamin Sea, sunshine and delighted in new friendships being made. It is a day I'll remember for a long time and none of it would have happened without Donna coming up with the idea of a swim-swap, me shouting at passing ladies bobbing down the Thames one day to ask them if they'd be up for it, and of course Michelle from the SOS group who made it happen - she's a ray of sunshine and I hope she will always be one of our drop-in members.

For any SOS reading this, you are very welcome to join us anytime you like, come rain or shine! We have a whatsapp group, a FB group and usually send out an email in advance of impromptu dips in-between the main monthly ones. Feel free to interact, offer out ideas of invitations to others and just get involved as and when you like! I am SO looking forward to the reciprocal dip up to the Thames (Sunbury) on Sat 3rd July and will start communicating that in a week or so once I've got over this one! It will be a case of sharing lifts (if you want to) and all meeting up in Sunbury and staying as long or as little as you like.

In the meantime, here's the video of the day..
