About the event

Whether it be in the hills or in cold water, Jude Palmer is at her happiest when out in the great outdoors, having an adventure however big or small and with other people. Amongst other things, she is an Open Water Swimming Coach and Lifeguard and has swum in lakes, rivers, the sea and the odd puddle including over 20 long course swimruns around the world, triathlons, long distance swims (24hr Swim for Life, Windermere) but is equally happy dipping into hidden wild swims spots and enjoying being immersed in all that is open water swimming. She is endorsed by the STA to lead Cold Water Swim Sessions, works with the NHS to deliver cold water dipping on prescription and takes great delight in helping people achieve things they didn’t think they could.

Tonight Jude is going to chat to us about all things cold-water dipping. Whether you are an experienced cold water swimmer or it is your first winter of swimming, join us for an hour of cold water chatter including:  The latest on why cold water is good for you What happens to the body in cold water and why that is important to think about before you even get in How long is long enough? Share top tips and myth busting What to think about when planning your swim - where, who, why, what Along with plenty of time for questions.

Please RSVP to attend and you will receive a Zoom invite by email.  Cost to attend £5, see below.

Please Note: There is a cost for joining this talk to cover Jude's time and wisdom (£50), of which 50% she is donating to The Wild Swim Project, which encourages people into wild swimming to help with their mental health.  Depending on how many RSVP will determine how much each person pays, but suggest £5 each. Justine will cover this and then collect this from you. If there's any shortfall Justine will cover this, or anything left over will go into a charity/future events pot.
