About the event
July was named to honour Julius Ceasar as it's his birth month. Once it was called Hay monath by the Anglo Saxons, as this was haymaking time. Look out for Rosebay Willowherb, Poppy, Thistle, Red Campion, foraged by bees this month for this summer's honey.
We're hosting an SSBS Sports Day so the gathering will be 11am to 1pm followed by a BYO picnic if the weather is good for those who want to stay on. Ideas such as 3-legged race, Whelk & Spoon race and more ideas just to add a bit of fun to our gatherings calendar! Bring your best legs and arms to be crowned SSBS Sports Day Champion (no prizes yet, but we'll see what we can find!!)
Location to be decided as some considerations to take into account.
