Summer's here, bring a picnic! July Gathering

July was named to honour Julius Ceasar as it's his birth month. Once it was called Hay monath by the Anglo Saxons, as this was haymaking time. Look out for Rosebay Willowherb, Poppy, Thistle, Red Campion, foraged by bees this month for this summer's honey. For this month's gathering, to tie in with the tide we thought a picnic on the beach would be just the thing. So have a late breakfast so you can last until 2pm after your dip and then roll out your blankets and unpack your hampers for a fun few hours together west side of the Bill.
