About the event
Just as we're getting into the swing of summer, Midsummer, on 21st June marks the longest day of the year with the most light and the least dark, yet three days of standstill later, and we begin the long slow journey back towards autumn. But our warmest months are still ahead of us, so set your alarm clock and come and celebrate the sunshine with us! The solstice marks the time when day equals night and then, after 3 days of standstill, we begin to see longer days and shorter nights. The actual time of the Solstice this year is 9.24am, but we gather at this special time in the morning, dawn, as night turns to day.
WE'LL MEET ON THE BEACH IN FRONT OF EACH BEACH CAR PARK - IF YOU ARE FACING THE SEA WE'LL BE TO THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE CAR PARK ON THE BEACH…
