Hoe, Hoe, Hoe #2

We're a bit fed up with the council spraying toxic herbicides all along the sea wall of East Beach. Alex has been speaking to them about this but they say there's nothing they can do, as they say that if they don't do this, people will complain about the weeds.  There's not an easy solution but to try and do our little bit, Alex is leading a second hoe party, after the success of the first one in April, this one being just before our monthly sea-bathing coronation-inspired gathering to pull out some more of these weeds (Alex will bring her little trailer).  Please bring your own hoe and wear your own gloves and if you want to come but don't have any gloves, let us know and we'll being some spares. Likewise on the hoe - not sure if we'll have any spares but we can try and source some if not. It's a small idea, but just us doing our little bit to try and make a difference and to support Alex in this worthwhile endevour. Doing this is April gathered a raft of thanks for passers-by for what we were doing, so it all felt very worthwhile, as well as seeing how much nicer everything looked. If we can convince WSCC we can do our bit, perhaps we can persuade them not to spray everything with chemicals right by the sea.
