A recreation of Fish Friday in Barbados, where folk travel all across the island to a little village where they grill fresh fish on barrel bbq's & crack open a shore-side beer! PLEASE SEE CHANGES BELOW!

PLEASE NOTE, DUE TO THE WEATHER AND THE FACT THAT THERE ARE NO MACKEREL LIKE LAST YEAR, THIS WILL NOW MOVE FROM FRIDAY TO SATURDAY AND BE A SIMPLE BBQ AFTER THE MONTLY GATHERING AND THE GATHERING IS NOW ON THE BEACH BY LBW. STILL A BYO YOUR OWN FOOD & DRINK - TO PUT ON THE BBQ OR OTHERWISE, BUT THERE WILL BE NO MACKEREL UNFORTUNATELY :((( NO NEED TO BRING £2 FOR CHARITY, WE'LL HAVE TO THINK OF SOMETHING ELSE AT SOME POINT INSTEAD. SO PLEASE DO STILL COME!
2022 was the year we got into the mackerel run, so the idea of a Selsey Pop-Up Mackerel Festival was born! There's a few fishermen/women between us who will hopefully agree to catch the fish, we'll find a spot to pitch up a barrel bbq, llight the coals, crack open the beers and wine and grill the fish fresh out of the sea. We'll ask everyone for a donation for their food and drinks and the profits will go to a charity of our choice (the mackeral foundation..;). The general idea is that we catch some fish, bring it to the BBQ and cook it. But we'll also need to bring other bits too and of course the veggies amongst us will bring their own bits. We collaborate as usual and hopefully a little party will be created. There will be a charity pot, too, to put £2 which will go to a local charity of our choosing.
