Bathe for the Spring Equinox 2022

Spring Equinox marks a pivotal moment every year as light and darkness come into perfect balance and we're invited to draw upon the spirit of renewal to invigorate our lives, creativity and work. Daylight starts to gain strength and longer nights draw to a close. The northern hemisphere emerges from winter into a bright new cycle. Nature bursts into myriad colours and forms. All this vital energy includes us too.

Let's seize this seasonal shift to find courage to start new adventures and honour together the circle of life as the wheel turns once more towards the light. It's the perfect time for a dip together!  We'll meet at the bottom of the ramp on West (Medmerry Beach - end of West St) at 3pm and walk together along the beach towards the first set of stone sea defences. Depending on the wind direction, we'll either bathe the facing side, or the one just on the other side which is often calmer and reminds me of southern Spain!  Please bring with you something to read out if you like, such as a poem or a Shanty song to sing or say something about what the Equinox means to you in terms of your focus for the coming year. Or wear something you ordinarily wouldn't - just something to mark the ocassion, whatever feels right to you. Or, just come and enjoy each other's company. Bring a hot drink and perhaps a snack to share. We'll gather at 3pm and dip at the Solstice which is 3.33pm and finish about 4.15pm.
